The ABC’s of CBP’s Single Window Initiative

The U.S. trade community breathed a collective sigh of relief, when the long-awaited “single window initiative” was fully implemented in early 2017.  The single window, officially known as the “International Trade Data System,” operates via the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency’s Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) platform, and serves as a single point of contact for all trade filings.  This means traders no longer must endure identical documentation requests from multiple agencies, or face inordinate delays in having shipments admitted to the U.S.  A new white paper from Purolator International,   “The ABC’s of CBP’s Single Window Initiative,” offers a detailed overview of the single window, including information about how shippers can become ACE-compliant.  To download a copy of Purolator’s complimentary new white paper, please click here.
