Acceptable Dangerous Goods

Shipping Dangerous Goods to the U.S.
Certain Classifications of Dangerous Goods may be shipped to the US providing that they travel by Purolator ExpressTM U.S. The following outlines the acceptable classifications of Dangerous Goods:

Acceptable Dangerous Goods Classifications & Symbols

Class 2 - Compressed Gases

Class 2.1 Flammable Gases - Gases that will burn and are easily ignited.

Class 2.2 - Non-flammable, Non-Poisonous, Non-Corrosive gases that are dangerous because they are compressed, deeply refrigerated or displace oxygen.

Class 3 - Flammable Liquids

Class 3 - Flammable Liquids (there are no Divisions in this class)

Class 3 - Liquids with flash point 60.5 ºC or less

Class 8 - Corrosive Materials

Corrosive materials will destroy living tissue on contact, even if only the vapor is inhaled. They may corrode metals such as steel or aluminum. They may ignite combustibles.

Class 9 - Miscellaneous Products and Substances

These are Dangerous Goods products or substances that do not meet the definitions of the previous 8 classes yet they are dangerous. These include Miscellaneous Dangerous Goods and Environmental Hazardous Materials
