Dangerous Goods - $36.00 per Shipment

Regulated materials which require special handling and documentation. Purolator is committed to providing safe and secure transport of all packages containing regulated Dangerous Goods while complying with all legislative requirements, industry standards and Purolator's quality policy.

Saturday Service - $21.00 per Shipment

When the workweek is over, but you still need a package picked up or delivered on Saturday, rely on Purolator Saturday Service. Purolator offers guaranteed delivery by 5 p.m. Saturday (shipment picked up on Friday) or by 5 p.m. Monday (shipment picked up on Saturday) or your money back.* Shipment destination must be a Saturday Service guaranteed 5 p.m. delivery point from the point of origin. Saturday pick up for Monday delivery is not available for U.S. destinations.

Duties and Brokerage Fees

Purolator's Product Rates and Additional Charges do not include applicable duties or brokerage fees. The Customer shall pay to Purolator's designated customs broker or Customer's own customs broker, as applicable, any and all brokerage fees, surcharges, customs, duties and Taxes (hereinafter referred to as "Brokerage Fees") related to Shipments tendered to Purolator by the Customer and agrees to indemnify Purolator against any claims or liabilities for unpaid Brokerage Fees.

Special Handling - $15.00 per Piece

Purolator recognizes that customers often have items to ship that do not conform to our regular package specifications. We are usually able to accommodate your requirements, whether it's a one-time event or a regularly occurring shipment. You can rely on Purolator to manage the process smoothly and effectively.

As conveyor systems at our processing facilities are often not suitable for certain items such as heavy weight packages or non-packaged goods, we manually handle these items - with one or two people, using specialized equipment.

Items which require "Special Handling", include without limitation:

  1. Non-Packaged Items - Unboxed items (excluding Purolator Express™ Envelopes, Purolator Express™ Packs, totes and document shipments) or items not fully encased in a suitable shipping container including, but not limited to, tires, pails and shrink-wrapped items.
  2. Over-Weight Pieces - Items that exceed 70 lbs. Over-weight pieces require Heavy Weight service to be pre-arranged. See Purolator's Terms and Conditions for full details or call 1 888 SHIP-123.
  3. Over-Sized Pieces - Items that equal or exceed five feet in length, or exceed an overall package size of 165 inches (length + 2 x height + 2 x width).
  4. Unsuitable Items - Items which, due to their nature (size, shape, packaging, contents) are deemed by Purolator to be unsuitable for sorting and/or handling using Purolator's automated systems (e.g. ball bearings, nuts, bolts, fasteners, liquids, wooden or metal crates, etc.).
